WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord
How to use private communities to give your superfans early access and run your launches.
2 min read · Updated October 2026
Your community members are your superfans. They buy first, review first and hype your drops. Treat them like VIPs. (Sygil's own Community feature is coming soon, but you can use these tools today.)
What to do in each
| Place | Use it for |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp channels and broadcast lists | One-way announcements: drops, restocks, reminders. |
| Telegram channels and groups | Announcements plus conversation. Great for study groups and creators with technical audiences. |
| Discord servers | Roles, channels and live events. Great for gamers, musicians and builders. |
A simple community playbook
- 1
Pin your link
In #announcements or the channel description: "Everything I make lives here → sygil.app/yourname".
- 2
Give early access
Share a drop an hour before it is public.
- 3
Recognise supporters
Give top monthly supporters a special role.
- 4
Share freebies first
A free vault item posted here first makes people feel part of something.
- 5
Ask and act
Run polls on what to drop next.
Everything I make lives here → sygil.app/yourname Free stuff in the vault. Follow me there to get notified on every drop.
@everyone NEW DROP You guys get it first, an hour before Instagram does. sygil.app/yourname/vault Only [n] spots, go go go!
Hey fam, just dropped something new. Since you're in my close circle, you're seeing it first: sygil.app/yourname/vault
A paid community on Sygil today
Sell access with a Secret Unlock that reveals a private invite link. Combine it with a limit ("only 100 members") for a closed-door feel. Honour the promise: if you say weekly sessions, run them.
Community rules that keep it healthy
1. Be kind. No harassment or hate. 2. No spam or self-promotion without asking. 3. Ask questions in the right channel. 4. Drops and freebies are announced here first. 5. Admins will remove anything that breaks these rules.
A weekly rhythm
| Day | Post |
|---|---|
| Monday | A tip or a challenge for the week. |
| Wednesday | A question or poll about what to make next. |
| Friday | A drop, freebie or early-access link. |
| Sunday | Recap and top supporter thank-you. |
Which should I start with?
The one your audience already uses. Indian student audiences often prefer Telegram or WhatsApp. Gaming and music audiences usually prefer Discord.
How do I stop spammers?
Use slow mode, join approval and clear rules, and give a few trusted members moderator rights.
