Social feeds are fast but fleeting. Search, blog posts and podcasts are slower to start and keep working for months or years.

Your Sygil page is search-friendly

  • Public pages can appear in Google and on Sygil's own Explore and search.
  • Your item titles and descriptions are read by search engines, so write them in plain language people would search for: "Lightroom presets for travel photos", not "Vibes Vol. 2".
  • Your one-line description (150 characters) and item titles are the most important text.

Write helpful posts

  1. 1

    Pick a question people ask

"How to edit travel photos", "how to start strength training at home".

  2. 2

    Answer it fully

Make the post genuinely useful without needing to click anywhere.

  3. 3

    Offer the next step

End with your free checklist or paid pack and the link.

  4. 4

    Update it

Refresh posts every few months so they stay accurate.

Podcasts and interviews

  • Appear on other creators' shows and offer their listeners a free item.
  • Start your own audio show if you like to talk. Put your link in every episode's notes.
  • Share clips as short video on social.

Newsletters

Sygil does not send email broadcasts for you. If you run a newsletter elsewhere, add your Sygil link to every issue and send your list the link when you drop something.

A post outline that works

  1. The answer in the first two paragraphs.
  2. Step-by-step detail with screenshots or examples.
  3. A short list of common mistakes.
  4. A "what to do next" paragraph with your free item.
  5. A link to your page.

Keep it working

  • Add your Sygil link to the post and to your author bio.
  • Re-read each post twice a year and fix anything out of date.
  • Link between your posts so readers stay.
  • Share the post on social every few months. Evergreen content deserves repeats.

Do I need my own website?

No. Your Sygil page is public and indexable. A blog on Medium, Substack or your own domain is optional and works alongside it.

How long does search traffic take?

Often months. It is slower than social, but it keeps arriving without new work.
