Short answer: pick one specific result, record short lessons, give one or two away free as previews, price it, then launch with pre-orders and a seat limit. You can host and sell it from your link in bio.
Step 1: pick a narrow, specific topic
- "Edit Instagram Reels on your phone in 30 minutes" beats "Video editing".
- Teach one result for one kind of student.
- Check demand: have people asked you how to do it?
Step 2: plan 8 to 12 short lessons
- A short "what you will build" lesson.
- One idea per lesson, ideally under 10 minutes.
- A task at the end of each lesson.
- A final lesson that points to your next product.
Step 3: record and upload
A phone, clear sound and good light are enough. Record in batches, upload each video, and wait for it to encode. See Upload lessons.
Step 4: give a taste
Make lesson 1 a free preview. People who watch it are far more likely to enrol.
Step 5: set price and seats
| Course | Common range |
|---|---|
| Mini course | ₹199 to ₹499 |
| Skill course | ₹499 to ₹1,999 |
| Programme with live support | ₹1,999 and up |
Cap seats to run a cohort. "Only 30 seats" is honest urgency if you really stop at 30.
Step 6: launch with pre-orders
- 1
Schedule it
Set a release date. The page shows a countdown.
- 2
Let people pre-order
They pay now and lessons unlock at launch.
- 3
Promote the preview
Use a Reel and a comment keyword for the free lesson.
- 4
Launch
Everything unlocks automatically. Share early results.
Live or recorded?
Recorded lessons scale. A weekly live session adds a reason to join now. You can sell both: a course for the recordings and a group session for live Q&A. See Run live classes.
What a course page needs
- A clear promise in the title.
- Who it is for and what they need.
- A free preview lesson.
- A fair price and a seat limit.
- A way to ask questions.
How long should my course be?
As short as it needs to be to deliver the result. A 1 to 2 hour course that works beats a 20 hour course nobody finishes.
Can I sell a course before it is finished?
Yes. Schedule the release date and take pre-orders. Lessons unlock for every buyer when the countdown ends.
How are course videos protected?
Lessons stream inside the course player and only enrolled students receive the paid videos. No system can fully stop screen recording, so focus on being worth buying.
