Courses overview

What a Sygil course is, when to use one instead of a vault item, and how the pieces fit together.

A course is an ordered set of video lessons that a fan enrolls in. Videos stream inside Sygil with protected playback, so you can sell a real curriculum from your link in bio without building a website.

Course or vault item?

Use a course when…Use a vault item when…
You teach a skill over several lessons. You are delivering one thing: a file, a code, an answer or a call.
Students should watch in order and come back. The product is complete in one download.
You want free preview lessons to sell the course. You want an instant, low-effort product.
You want cohorts with a seat limit and a start date. You want a quantity of copies instead.

Many creators use both. A course is the main product, and vault items sit around it: a free checklist, a ₹199 starter pack and a ₹999 feedback call for students.
