Fan Points for creators
How fans earn and spend Fan Points, who pays for the discount, and how to use points to bring buyers back.

Fan Points (FP) are Sygil's built-in loyalty program. Inside the app they are shown as FamPoints, but it is the same thing. Fans earn them when they support or buy from you, and can spend them only on your page. That is the whole point: the reward brings them back to you, not to another creator.
How fans earn
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| Follow you for the first time | 10 FP, once per creator |
| Claim a free vault item or enrol in a free course | 5 to 10 FP |
| Pay for a paid item, course or support | Up to 10% of the cash paid, usually between 5% and 10%. The exact amount varies and is shown after each purchase. |
| Pay using Fan Points | None. Points used as a discount never earn points. |
How fans spend
- 1 FP = ₹1 off. The discount applies to your vault items and courses, up to the item's price.
- Points only work on the page where they were earned.
- Points expire 60 days after they are earned, and the oldest are used first. Fans are reminded before they expire.
- They have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn, sold or transferred.
- If a purchase made with points is refunded, the points come back.
Who pays for the discount?
Why it is worth it
- It gives buyers a reason to return. A fan who has 80 FP with you has a reason to check your next drop.
- It rewards your loyal fans without you having to slash prices.
- The discount only exists if they come back to your page. You are not funding a discount that they spend with someone else.
- Because points expire after 60 days, your next drop within two months catches your recent buyers while they still have value.
Using points as a marketing lever
- 1
Before a drop
Post: "Check your Fan Points. You might already have a discount waiting."
- 2
After a launch
Remind buyers they just earned points they can use on your next drop.
- 3
As expiry approaches
Run a short sale or release a small item so fans can spend what they have.
- 4
For top fans
Thank them. A loyal buyer with FP is your most likely next customer.
PSA: every time you buy from my page you earn Fan Points, and you can spend them on my next drop. Basically cashback for being a real one.
What you see in Analytics
Your dashboard shows Total FP minted (rewarded to fans), Total FP burned (spent by fans), FP liability (unspent points in circulation), active fans with wallets, average fan balance, and a list of your fans with their FP balance. See Analytics.
Can I turn Fan Points off?
There is no switch to turn them off. Fan Points are part of every Sygil page. You control how much they cost you through how you price items and how often you run big drops.
Can a fan spend my points on another creator's page?
No. Points only work on the page where they were earned.
Do points apply to Support payments?
Fans earn points when they support you, but points cannot be used as a discount on support. They apply to vault items and courses.
