Ratings, reviews and social proof
How ratings work on vault items and courses, and how to turn them into content.

People trust other fans more than they trust you. Ratings and reviews are the cheapest, strongest proof you have, and you get them for free.
How ratings work
| Where | Who can rate | When |
|---|---|---|
| Vault item (file, secret, Q&A, request) | Fans who got the item | After they redeem or receive it. |
| Call or session | Fans who booked it | After the session. |
| Course | Enrolled students | Any time after enrolling. Reviews can be up to 1,000 characters. |
Ratings are 1 to 5 stars. The average and the number of ratings appear on the item. Free items can be rated too.
Getting your first reviews
- Give a free item to 5 loyal fans and ask for an honest rating.
- Ask at the right moment: right after the fan used the product.
- Make it easy: link them straight to the item.
Hey! Hope you're loving the [thing]! If it helped, could you leave a quick rating on my page? It helps more people find it.
Turn reviews into content
- Story: screenshot the review with a link sticker straight to that item.
- Reel: react to the review on camera, or show 3 to 4 reviews back to back.
- Pinned comment or description: pin your best review.
- Before and after: with permission, a buyer's result is the strongest proof there is.

Handling a bad review
- Read it twice. Is there something real in it?
- If so, fix it. Update the description or the product, then say so.
- If it is a misunderstanding, clarify in the description so the next buyer is not surprised.
- Never argue publicly. Reply with kindness or not at all.
