Limited editions and seat limits
Cap copies, call slots or course seats so "only 12 left" does the selling.

When something is limited, people stop thinking "I'll buy it later". Scarcity is one of the oldest and most honest ways to sell, as long as the limit is real.
Where you can set limits
| Product | Where | What is limited |
|---|---|---|
| Digital File and Secret Unlock | Availability, Quantity: Limited | Total copies. |
| Ask Me Anything and Personal Request | Availability, Quantity: Limited | Total orders you will take. |
| Call (fixed slots) | Your list of slots | Slots (1:1) or seats per session (group). Slots and seats are the limit, so there is no separate quantity. |
| Call (weekly hours) | Availability, Quantity: Limited | Total calls. |
| Course | Seats: Limited | Enrolments. |
Fans see how many are left on the item and the page. When the last one sells, the item shows sold out.
How to set a limit
- 1
Open the item form
Create a new item or edit an existing one.
- 2
Go to Availability
Set Quantity to Limited and enter a number, such as 20 or 50.
- 3
Publish
The remaining count is shown to fans.
The rules that keep it fair
- Limits can only go up after publishing. You can add more spots if demand is high, but never take spots away from people who bought.
- An unlimited item cannot be turned into a limited one once it is live.
- A free item must always be limited. See Pricing, free items and limits.
- A limited course can be raised but not lowered once it is live or has students.
Make the scarcity believable
Do
- Choose a number you would truly stop at.
- Show progress honestly: "12 left", "5 left", "Sold out".
- Post a sold-out screenshot afterwards. It is the best FOMO for your next drop.
- Explain why it is limited: "I can only review 10 portfolios a month."
Don't
- Say "only 20" and then sell 60.
- Use a fake countdown or fake numbers.
- Make everything limited. Scarcity works because it is rare.
- Hide that you added more spots. Say you added them.
