Your top section is the first thing a visitor sees, usually on a phone, usually for a few seconds. A clear photo, a one-line promise and a banner that matches your content make people trust the page enough to scroll.
While you are signed in on your own page, each of these is editable in place.

Click your photo and choose a new one. You can crop it before it uploads.
- Formats
- JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 10 MB.
- Not supported
- iPhone HEIC photos. Choose a JPG or PNG, or switch your camera to Most Compatible.
- Tip
- A face or a clean logo works best. It also appears on your cards in Explore and search.

Your name is set during signup. Below it is a description box with the placeholder What are you creating? It holds up to 150 characters and saves when you click away.

WhereYour pageEdit Banner
The Change Banner window has two tabs.
- Upload. Recommended size is 1500 × 500 pixels. JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 10 MB. Keep faces and text in the centre, because phones crop the edges.
- Unsplash. Search free stock photos if you do not have a banner yet. Sygil stores the photographer credit for you.
Theme colour
The paint palette next to the visibility button lets you pick a theme colour from about twenty options, from Red, Rose and Pink to Emerald, Sky, Violet and Slate. It tints your buttons and highlights across the page.
Preview as a visitor
Use Preview to see your page exactly as a fan does, with owner controls hidden. Purchases are switched off in preview mode, so you can click around safely.
