Go public: the checklist
What Sygil requires before your page is visible, and what to double-check before you share it.
2 min read · Updated October 2026
New pages are hidden. Anyone who opens your link sees a coming-soon screen, so you can build in private. When you are ready, flip the visibility button at the top of your page from Hidden to Public.
What Sygil requires
- Creator terms accepted. You accept these during setup. If you somehow skipped them, you will be asked.
- A banner. Upload one or choose from Unsplash.
- At least one social link. Add it in the Links tab.
- A payout method. A UPI ID in India, or PayPal or Wise email elsewhere.
If something is missing, Sygil tells you exactly what: for example, "Setup incomplete. Please add a banner, social link before setting your page live."
What to check before you share
- Open Preview on a phone. Does the first screen explain what you offer?
- Click every link and item. Do they open the right place?
- Read your item titles and descriptions out loud. Remove anything vague.
- Make sure at least one item is a free or low-priced entry point (₹49 to ₹199).
- Add the prices you actually want. Prices are whole rupees.
- Check that your Vault items list the correct delivery: file, secret, answer, request or call time.
After you go public
- Your page can be found at
sygil.app/yourname, on Explore, in search, and on search engines. - You can switch back to Hidden at any time. Existing buyers keep their purchases.
- Put the link everywhere: Share your page.
If going public fails
| Message | Fix |
|---|---|
| Please accept the creator terms before making your page live. | Accept the creator terms when prompted. |
| Setup incomplete. Please add a banner… | Add the items it lists: a banner, a social link or payout details. |
| UPI ID for payouts / payment method for payouts | Save your UPI ID (India) or PayPal or Wise email (elsewhere) in Billing and payouts. |
Going private again
Switch the button back to Hidden any time. Visitors then see a coming-soon screen. Existing buyers keep access to what they bought. Hide your page while you do a big redesign or if you need a break, and switch it back on afterwards.
